Nepal: country’s borders status
Borders are open with restrictions.
Coronavirus information
Arriving people must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival.
This rule doesn’t apply to:
- citizens of Nepal;
- children under 18;
- holders of a visa issued by a diplomatic representation of Nepal.
OR they must have a negative COVID-19 test result taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.
Tests accepted are GeneXpert, NAAT, PCR and RT-PCR.
This rule does not apply to passengers younger than 5 years.
Passengers could be subject to a COVID-19 antigen test upon arrival if arriving without any of mentioned above documents.
