Ded Moroz Train is a joint project of the Vologda Oblast Government and Russian Railways, a mobile residence of the New Year wizard. The train started its long journey across Russia on 11 November, travelling from Veliky Ustyug to Vologda. The journey will last two months until 13 January 2024, stops in 83 cities are planned. The easternmost settlement of the route will be Tynda, the New Year will be celebrated in Petrozavodsk in Karelia.
You will not be able to ride the train from one city to another, but an animation programme is planned at the stops along the route. Each child will be given a gift, for the guests of the branded train there is a restaurant with Russian cuisine. In addition, this year for the first time there will be a puppet show, the event will take place in a separate carriage and will be paid separately. The duration of the show is 45 minutes.
The New Year’s show is intended for children, adults can get to it only as escorts (the cost of such a ticket is 2 450 rubles). A visit to the travelling residence of Father Christmas for a child under the age of 14 will cost 1 950 rubles. There will also be a free visit to the photo booth car for everyone.
