Thailand is going to introduce a tourist fee from 2023.

Those arriving in the country by plane will pay $8 per passenger. This does not apply to transit passengers, those spending no more than a day in the country and children under the two age. The fee was expected to be introduced earlier, but the payment mechanism has not yet been finalised.
