Borders are closed. There are few exceptions however.

These passengers are allowed to enter:

  • citizens and residents of Vietnam;
  • experts, business managers or highly skilled workers, who have to comply with mandatory medical declaration and self-isolation.

Every passenger save citizens of Vietnam must have a special permission issue either by the Immigration Department of Vietnam, or from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.

Currently transit via Vietnam is forbidden.

All arriving passengers must have a negative RT-PCR or RT-LAMP test result issued no more than 72 hours before arrival. This rule doesn’t apply to children younger than 2 years if accompanied by parents with a test result. The result must be in English.

Every passenger must before arrival complete a “Health Declaration Form” and install on his or her personal device the “PC-Covid” mobile application.

All arrived passengers shall be quarantined up to 7 days in a specifically designated facility. They could be tested for coronavirus with rapid antigen test as well.
