Latest information on travel bans during COVID-19

Country`s borders status.

United Kingdom borders are open.

All arriving passengers must comply with 10 days self-isolation and present a completed “Public Health Passenger Locator Form” on arrival. It may be obtained online. Transit passengers must complete this form as well.

Passengers are not allowed to enter is they have been (including transit) in past 10 days in the following countries: Angola, Argentina, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, DR Congo, Ecuador, Eswatini, French Guiana, Guyana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Seychelles, South Africa, Suriname, Tanzania, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zambia, UAE, Burundi, Rwanda or Zimbabwe. This doesn’t applies to citizens and residents of United Kingdom.

Flights from UAE are suspended.

Starting 18 January 2021 arriving passengers, including those wha are in transit must have medical certificate with negative COVID-19 test result. The certificate must:

  • be issued no more than 72 hours before departure of the direct flight to the United Kingdom;
  • in French, English or Spanish;
  • have Antigen, LAMP, nucleic or PCR test results;

This rule doesn’t applies to:

  • children younger than 11 years;
  • passengers arriving from Ireland;

Arriving passengers will be tested for a coronavirus on day 2 and day 8 after arrival at their own expences. They must have a confirmation of payment for that test which may be obtained online.

These passengers are not allowed to enter:

  • passengers who in the last 10 days have been or transited via one of these countries:

    Angola, Argentina, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil, Burundi, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, DR Congo, Ecuador, Eswatini, French Guiana, Guyana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa, Suriname, Tanzania, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zambia or Zimbabwe.

    This rule doesn’t applies to citizens of the United Kingdom or Ireland. They are not eligible for a “Test ro Release” scheme.

The Test to Realese programm has been launched on 15 December 2020. Passenger may finish his self-isolation sooner, if he tested negative to covid. The test may be taken no less than 5 days after arrival in England. Kindly reminder: Test to Realese is for England only.

 
 

 

Arriving people who have been in or transited through Angola, Argentina, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil, Burundi, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Congo (Dem. Rep.), Ecuador, Eswatini, French Guiana, Guyana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa, Suriname, Tanzania, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zambia or Zimbabwe in the past 10 days must:

  • have a quarantine package for 11 nights; and
  • arrive at Birmingham (BHX), Farnborough (FAB), Gatwick (LGW), Heathrow (LHR) or London City (LCY).

People arriving in Scotland must have a quarantine package for 11 nights. More details can be found here
