Ukraine: restrictions and entry requirements 2022

Borders are open with restrictions.

Passengers are barred from enter if they have been in the past 14 days in one of these countries:
Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe.
This rule doesn’t apply to:

  • citizens and residents of Ukraine and also their spouses and children.

All passengers must have medical insuarance covering all their duration of stay in Ukraine.
This rule doesn’t apply to citizens and permanent residents of Ukraine.

Arriving passengers must have a negative COVID-19 test result (antigen or PCR). The result must be issued no more than 72 hours before arrival. Children younger than 18 years likewise citizens and residents of Ukraine do not need such test.
Alternatively passengers may enter if they holding a vaccine certificate statting that at least one dose was received. Eligible vaccines: AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, Sinovac.

Every passenger older than 18 years must install a “Vdoma” mobile app. This rule doesn’t apply to holders of a valid certificate of vaccination, holder of a negative PCR-test or a recovery certificate and citizens of Ukraine.

Passengers under 12 years old are not oblieged to have any COVID-related documnets to enter.

Passengers arriving from India, Russia, Portugal, United Kingdom shall be additionally tested for coronavirus with rapid antigen test.

In case citizen or resident of Ukraine holding a positive covid test result he or she shall be quarantined.

Those who have been in Russia or India in the past 14 days shall be quarantined for 2 weeks.
This rule doesn’t apply to:

  • passengers under 18 years;
  • holders of a negative PCR test result taken no more than 72 hours before arrival;
  • holders of a vaccination or a recovery certificates. Accepted vaccines: AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, Sinovac.

Those who have been for at least 7 days in one of these countries:
Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe,
shall stay self-isolated for 14 days.
