Tanzania, United Republic Of: restrictions and entry requirements 2022

Borders are open with restrictions.

Those older than 6 years must have:

  • a valid vaccination certificate;
  • a negative NAAT or RT-PCR test result with a QR code taken no more than 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.

In case passenger doesn’t have any of the documents mentioned above he or she shall be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival. The passenger shall be self-isolated until results are ready. Passengers arriving to Zanzibar from the UAE could be tested to a COVID-19 RT-PCR test upon arrival

Those who have been in the last 14 days in
Congo (Dem. Rep.), Egypt, France, India, Malawi, Rwanda, South Africa, USA, Uganda, United Kingdom,
shall be tested for antigen upon arrival.
This rule doesn’t apply to children under 6 years old.

The vaccination certificate considering valid if:

  • it is stated that it’s holder was fully vaccinated;
  • the jab was made with one of the accepted vaccines: Comirnaty, Sputnik Light, Ad26.COV2.S, Covilo, CoronaVac.
