Nigeria: restrictions and entry requirements 2022

Borders are open with restrictions.
People who have been in Brazil, India or Turkey in the past 14 days are not allowed to enter.
This doesn’t apply to:
  • citizens of Nigeria;
  • holders of a permanent residence permit issued by Nigeria.

Arriving people must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result in English of a test taken not more than 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.

This doesn’t apply to children under 10.

People arriving from South Africa or the United Kingdom must have proof of payment for the PCR test obtained here. Those without proof of payment must pay the test upon arrival.

This doesn’t apply to children under 10.


Passengers must present upon arrival a QR code that can be obtained here or upon arrival.


All arriving people are subject to medical screening and self-isolation for 7 days upon arrival, and to a COVID-19 PCR test within 7 days after arrival.
