  The Arequipa airport in Peru reopened on 19 December.

   

  The Ayacucho and The Juliaca airports will reopen on 20 December. Security has been stepped up in the vicinity. The airports were closed due to protests.

  Protesters attempted to take over the airport in Ayacucho, Peru.

   

  Seven people were killed during the protest. Coronel Alfredo Mendivil Duarte airport suspended operations. The Juliaca airport was also closed due to possible attacks by protesters.
