Mauritania: restrictions and entry requirements 2022

Borders are open with restrictions.

Every passenger older than 11 years must have

  • a printed negative coronavirus (PCR) result issued no more than 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The result must be in Arabic, French, English or Spanish;
  • a vaccination certificate stating that the final dose of vaccine was received no less than 14 days before arrival (28 days for Janssen). Accepted vaccines are: AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Covovax, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm (BIBP) and Sinovac;
  • a recovery certificate issued no less than 11 days and no more than 6 months before arrival.

Passengers could be tested for COVID-19 and quarantined after that for 10 days.
