Ghana: restrictions and entry requirements 2022

Borders are open with restrictions.

Passengers before depature must complete a “Port Health Declaration Form“.

Every passenger older than 17 years (including those in transit) must have a valid vaccination certificate in order to enter Ghana.
The certificate considered valid if:

  • the final dose of vaccine was already received;
  • shot was made with one of the approved vaccines: AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm (BIBP), Sinovac, Sputnik V.

Citizens and residents of Ghana older 18 years arriving without vaccination certificate shall be vaccinated upon arrival.

Children between 10 and 17 years must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken no more than 48 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.

This rule doesn’t apply to:

  • nationals and residents of Ghana returning within one week;
  • children younger than 10 years.

All passengers must complete online before departure a Port Health Declaration Form.

Passengers shall be tested upon arrival in case they are older than 18 years or doesn’t have a valid vaccination certificate.
