Borders are open with restrictions.

Every passenger older than 18 years must have a valid vaccination certificate in order to enter Ghana.
The certificate considered valid if:

  • the final dose of vaccine was already received;
  • shot was made with one of the approved vaccines: AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm (BIBP), Sinovac, Sputnik V.

Arriving passengers must have a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 72 hours before deaprture from the first embarkation point. The result must have a QR code obtained here or here.

This rule doesn’t apply to:

  • nationals and residents of Ghana returning within one week;
  • children younger than 5 years.

All passengers must complete online before departure a Port Health Declaration Form.

Arriving passengers older than 5 years will be tested for a coronavirus on their own expense. Before the departure they must provide a confirmation of payment obtained online.

Additinaly, passengers may be quarantined for a 7 days at their own expense.
