Latest information on travel bans during COVID-19

Brunei Darussalam

Borders of Brunei Darussalam are temporarily closed. People are not allowed to enter and transit.

These passengers are allowed to enter:

  • citizens and permanent residents of Brunei Darussalam;
  • holders of a diplomatic passport with an Entry Travel Pass letter issued by The Government of Brunei Darussalam and a return/onward ticket;
  • until 15 June 2021, holders of an Entry Travel Pass letter issued by The Government of Brunei Darussalam if arriving from a country other than Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka. They must have stayed in the country of departure for the last 14 days before departure.

Arriving people:

  • must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken not more than 72 hours before departure. This doesn’t apply to citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam;
  • are subject to a COVID-19 RT-PCR test upon arrival;
  • must have proof of payment for the PCR test. This doesn’t apply to holders of a diplomatic passport;
  • could be subject to quarantine.

Holders of an Entry Travel Pass letter issued by The Government of Brunei Darussalam must have a confirmed hotel reservation and download the BruHealth app on their mobile device. 

This doesn’t apply to holders of a diplomatic passport.
