Latest information on travel bans during COVID-19

Brazil

Borders of Brazil are open with some restrictions.

 

Flights from South Africa and the United Kingdom are suspended.

 

People who have been in or transited through South Africa or the United Kingdom in the past 14 days are not allowed to enter or transit through Brazil.

This doesn’t apply to:

  • citizens of Brazil and their spouses, partners, children, parents or guardians;
  • holders of a permanent residence permit issued by Brazil.

People entering or transiting through Brazil must have a medical certificate in English, Portuguese or Spanish with a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result of a test taken not more than 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.

This doesn’t apply to:

  • children under 2;
  • children under 12 years accompanied by a companion who has a negative RT-PCR test result;
  • transit passengers not disembarking the aircraft.

Arriving people must present upon arrival a completed Traveler’s Health Declaration form that can be found on the website

 

Citizens of Brazil, their spouses, partners, children, parents or guardians, and holders of a permanent residence permit issued by Brazil who have been in or transited through South Africa or the United Kingdom in the past 14 days are subject to quarantine for 14 days.
