Borders are closed with some exceptions.
Holders of a visa, residence permit or immigration permits issued by Bhutan are not allowed to enter Bhutan if they arrive from or have visited or transited through a COVID-19 affected country.

Arriving people:
- are subject to medical screening and quarantine for 21 days;
- must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result of a test taken not more than 72 hours before departure. This doesn’t apply to citizens of Bhutan.
